YOUR ROLE
Project Designer is a role that aids in project design and development activities based on customer requirements. This team member also contributes to research, programming, schematic design, design development, creating construction documents, and construction administration.
PROJECT DESIGNER
Collaborate with client, colleagues, and consultants for successful initiation of projects though construction completion
Consult with clients to plan and design various projects such as commercial, retail, industrial, education, civic, multi-family residential, office buildings, government facilities, etc.
Manage project, client and construction contracts and budgets
Oversee project construction and plan design compliance

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture or a two-year technical degree.
You have strong technical skills and production experience using AutoCAD (required) and Revit (preferred) and implement those skills into the production of construction documents
You have solid knowledge of construction materials, standards and costs and use these skills on the jobsite
You have strong communication and conceptual design skills; fluency in SketchUp, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator is preferred
You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills
You advocate proactively for the field of Architecture and enjoy sharing knowledge, presenting and encouraging students to explore it as a career
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
You plan layouts in accordance with environmental, safety, or other regulations and integrate sustainable elements into unified design for client review and approval
You research and prepare information regarding specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs and construction time
You regularly apply knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials
You perform predesign services, such as feasibility studies, building surveys, or building assessments
You attend project meetings to discuss any issues and new design ideas
