The Project Superintendent will coordinate and manage all on-site activities, and work with project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineers, Foreman, Field Personnel, laborers, and other departments, to deliver successful vertical construction projects on time, on budget, and with the desired level of quality expected from owners.


Reports to: Construction Manager


Responsibilities vary depending on the scope and magnitude of the project but may regularly include the following:

Provide leadership and establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with project laborers and subcontractors.

Promote professional, respectful project morale.

Provide Leadership and management duties of construction laborers and field personnel.

Have a thorough and complete knowledge and understanding of the subcontracts, the contract drawings, specifications, and addenda.

Create field cost estimates and tracking of labor, supplies, materials, and other project costs.

Assist the construction manager in the development, refinement, and enforcement of the project schedule.

Develop 4-6 week forecast with input and buy-in from the subcontractors and laborers.

Maintain the schedules and ensure the project meets the various established date deadlines.

Maintain onsite quality control procedures.

Layout and maintain field office, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and personnel.

Chair weekly jobsite meetings with the subcontractors reviewing the previous week's progress, the current week's issues and challenges, and dictate, discuss and coordinate the project forecast.

Maintain good relations and communications with all involved in the project, including consideration of public impacts.

Provide leadership for onsite safety program and enforcement; and responsibility of overall site safety for works and visitors.

Coordinate materials and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers.

Maintain daily log of job site operations and reporting

Maintain flexibility throughout the project to allow of unexpected project delays and impediments


While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to frequently inspect the projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and travel within the surrounding region based on workload and project location.

Physical Demands

The physical demands laid out are a good representation of those required by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of the job, the team member is regularly required to perform office duties such as sitting at computer, using listening skills and communicating with team members. The individual is frequently required to work with their hands, including reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The team member must also occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.


You have at least 5 years proven leadership or supervisory role.

You have at least 10 years of construction experience.

Basic computer skills with experience in MS Office and MS Project preferred.

Current driver's license.

Insurable driving record.
